About Larry Gardner
I am what I used to be.
I am what I have become.
I’ve been an engineer, broadcaster, writer, filmmaker, television production company owner, webmaster and consultant. I’ve also been a boy scout, student, hitchhiker, traveler, ham radio operator, electronics and computer enthusiast, gardener, cook, woodworker, handyman, amateur musician, son, brother, husband, father, futurist and mentor. Sometimes I’ve been a rebel, and some might say I’ve been a pirate.
Most of the time I’ve been a nice guy, but I admit to sometimes being a first-class ass (rarely, I hope).
My passions: my family, friends and pets, living in the country, personal freedom, the Web and New Media, everything Macintosh, home cooking, filmmaking, photography, movies, all things audio and video, amateur radio (K4KSL since 1957), world travel, the history of technology, science in general, cosmic consciousness, the pursuit of knowledge, single-malt Scotch, and cheap red wine.
My dislikes: stupid people (especially in Washington), fast food, most institutions, The Patriot Act, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and all forms of bigotry.
I live near Apex, North Carolina with my wonderful wife, Thea. We have two great kids, Robbie (age 22) and Lauren (age 24), a crazy Doberman named Gilda, and a feisty Siamase Cat, Little Joe. My company is Digifonics, Inc.
